Rocking Horse Community Health Center is so proud to have been named a Nuestra Familia  (Our Family) Award Winner by the Ohio Latino Affairs Commission. We will be honored at an Award Gala at the Sheridan Columbus Capital Square in Columbus. How wonderful to be recognized for serving all of our patients with dedication and passion!

Rocking Horse Community Health Center celebrated 20 years of serving the community with a block party on August 9th. The event, held during National Health Center Week, featured a re-blessing of the Center, food trucks, games and give-aways.

Clark and Champaign county are struggling to keep up as the number of children and young adults coping with mental health issues continues to rise. Rocking Horse Community Health Center Therapist Alicia Robinson shared statistics and her expertise with the Springfield News Sun for this article on a growing concern for our communities.

Joe Weikert has a message – recovery is possible. For the past year, Joe has been a part of the Rocking Horse Center team as the Mental Health Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant. He works with patients through the Center’s Substance Use Disorder program and is able to reach them where they live. His understanding of addiction from a personal perspective is invaluable.  Joe graduates with an associate degree in counseling this month and plans to continue his education in pursuit of his Master’s degree. His story is an important one. His story will change lives.

We had representatives from the Governor's office in this week to tour our facility and learn more about the work we are doing for our county.

The Ohio Association of Community Health Centers awarded Rocking Horse Community Health Center with one of two Outstanding Advocacy Awards presented at their spring conference held in Columbus. The Ohio Association of Community Health Centers represents Ohio's 53 Community Health Centers at over 300 locations, including multiple mobile units in 66 of Ohio’s 88 counties. Rocking Horse Community Health Center serves 13,500 local patients with more than 62,000 visits per year.

Our recent expansion added five new pediatric rooms to our facility.

CVS Health awarded Rocking Horse a $50,000 grant that will be used for the children of Clark County who have most been impacted by the opioid epidemic.

Rocking Horse Community Health Center will be the first location in Springfield, Ohio to add a pharmacy residency program.
