Preceptorship or Clinical Hours

We accept all kinds of healthcare students.

Nurse Practitioner Students

At this time, we are booking 1 ½ years in advance for preceptorship and an interview will be required before acceptance into the program. Please specify if you are interested in Family Practice or Pediatrics in the “Other” section of the form.

Medical Assistant Students

An interview will be required before acceptance into the program.

Behavioral Health Internship or Practicum

We accept master level social work and counseling students. If you are interested in a practicum or internship, please submit a form and a member of the Behavioral Health team will reach out to you.

PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency

This program is offered by Rocking Horse Community Health Center in conjunction with Cedarville University School of Pharmacy. Resident will be given the opportunity to develop advanced skills in patient care, counseling, medication management, research, and new service improvement and/or development. The resident will provide care under an established physician consult agreement with The Center's providers for a variety of disease states. A teaching certificate and dispensing role is provided through the partnership with Cedarville University. Benefits include a yearly stipend, paid vacation and federal holidays, office/work space, clinical laptop, Medical Reference library, and a BLS certification. Application Requirements include a letter of intent, three letters of recommendation, curriculum vitae, pharmacy transcripts, and an on-site interview. Volunteer Information

Rocking Horse Community Health Center has several great opportunities to volunteer on a daily basis, including, reading to patients in the waiting room as part of our “Reach Out & Read” program, volunteering in our business office assisting with clerical duties, sending out event mailings in our Development Department, sorting and organizing as needed in Parent Infant Center, providing child care and activities for children during evening Behavioral Health support groups, and making calls to patients to complete satisfaction surveys.
