Dr. Cindy Francis Ahern joined our School-Based Health Center team in March 2025. Dr. Ahern is an optometrist who earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry from Ohio State University. Before working at RHCHC, Dr. Ahern was in private practice for 41 years in Urbana, Ohio. Dr. Ahern was raised in Lancaster, Ohio, but currently resides in Urbana, Ohio. Dr. Ahern’s professional interests include children’s vision, dry eye, and contact lenses. For fun, she enjoys traveling and photography. Dr. Ahern stated the most enjoyable aspect of working at RHCHC is helping children to see better so they can do well at school and learning.
