Excellence & Achievement awards for Rocking Horse Community Health Center
The Ohio Department of Health and the U.S .Department of Health and Human Services have recently named Rocking Horse Community Health Center as the recipient of recent awards for both excellence and achievement.
The Adolescent Immunization Coverage Excellence Award from the Ohio Department of Health will be presented to the Center this month. The award is given to those healthcare providers that achieve immunization coverage of 80% or higher for vaccination series administration in the 13 to 15 years of age category and show continued efforts to provide optimal health to Ohio’s children. This is the first award of its kind received by the Center since opening in 1999.
The Health Center Quality Improvement Achievement Award and funding through the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded to Rocking Horse Community Health Center in August recognizes the organization as a proven leader in clinical quality measures that demonstrate a significant improvement to patient health. The award is presented to practices that improve the health of the Nation’s underserved communities and vulnerable populations by assuring access to comprehensive, culturally competent and high quality primary health care services. The Center has been awarded $13,539 to use towards furthering quality improvement within the organization.
